Klaus Heilmann’s photographic work presents a different view on colour photography. By using all possibilities of digital photography and breaking classical photographic rules he shows an unmistakable own visual language and creates unfamiliar pictures, which are far away from what one knows from conventional landscape and cityscape photography.
In Heilmann’s photographic work the intention becomes clear, to cross the rigid boundaries between technic and art and thus between photography and painting. „Often it is my intention to let people forget, that the pictures they watch are photographs.“
"Every photograph is a synthesis of art and technique ... technique alone, without art, is nothing.“
